To reach the island you must go to the Portovesme harbor (crossing takes about 40 minutes) or Calasetta (30 minutes) from where the Delcomar companies ferries depart. The ferries travel day and night routes according to winter or summer schedules. During the period of the Girotonno festival, the number of sailings carried out by the companies usually increases and it is advisable to ask about the availability of parking spaces and eventually to make a reservation.

The Oasis IN LIPU of Carloforte covers an area of 236 hectares in the western part of the island and about 7 km of coastline.
