The Hieracon Hotel in Carloforte is an Art Nouveau building of rare elegance and refinement. In its long history it hosted noble families, embassies and consulates before being converted into a hotel in 1980.
Today it is a 4-star hotel inaugurated after expert renovation to enhance the palace’s ancient beauty and increase the comfort of its hospitality.
The renovation was carried out using biocompatible materials. The installation of photovoltaic and thermal energy systems allow the use of renewable energy.
Situated right in front of the harbour, in the historic centre of Carloforte, 50 metres from the marina, it is the ideal starting point for visiting the wonderful island of Sardinia.
Hierakon nesos is the ancient name of the island of San Pietro, given to it by the Greeks, due to the presence of the numerous sparrow hawks, now called the queen’s hawk, which today, as then, populate the island’s cliffs and can be admired in the Lipu oasis of Cala Fico.
