The presentation of the results of the residency will begin at 6.30 pm in Piazza Repubblica (Piazza Baruffi) and will be structured as a deliberately informal moment of sharing with the community, with the presence of an Italian sign language interpreter, in which the dialogues between the GIACINTA collective and the women who participated in the project will be accompanied by the display of a banner.
The event will then continue with the screening of an audio-video diptych in Super8 and digital film, the result of the collective work.
The evening will conclude with a party featuring a DJ set by Puta Caso, tastings and toasts, during which the Giudicesse project will meet the Tunèa project, with the Synkarà collective in attendance, as part of their research journey in which they describe the Mediterranean as a place of encounter, exchange and connection.
Tunèa returns to Carloforte with Synkarà.
Hello Carloforte, we are Synkarà. – We are a group of students from the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, travelling to describe the Mediterranean as a place of encounter, exchange and relationship.
Carloforte is an important stop on our journey: here we want to listen to the stories, traditions and voices that preserve the Tabarchina soul and the deep bond between the two shores of the sea.
We will collect testimonies, images and conversations that will be part of our thesis project, “Synkarà – Mediterranean thought and the space of the table as relational geography”.
